BOLTON – The Central/East champion Dover-Sherborn Raiders advanced to the Division 3 state finals on Wednesday night by serving up some revenge to Central/West champ Grafton, who knocked D-S out of the tournament in overtime a season ago.

The Raiders stormed out to a commanding 8-2 lead thanks to a first quarter hat trick by freshman attackman Pierce Gregory and a pair of goals from senior captain and Sacred Heart-bound attackman Jack Dillon. The pair helped pace an impressive offensive output for D-S, en-route to a 15-11 victory.

Grafton was able to claw their way back to within a goal at 12-11 with 8:16 left in the fourth quarter, but a 3-0 run by the Raiders to end the game with goals coming from Gregory (2) and Ford Pegram sealed the victory and advanced the Raiders to Saturday’s Division 3 final against Cohasset, at Boston University’s Nickerson field, at 2:30 p.m.
